Windows wireless problem solved.

Solved the problem by using the number one piece of generic help advice you usually get with a computer related problem.

Okay....second most popular piece of generic help advice.
I reinstalled Windows 7.

Fixed it instantly. Thanks to those who offered help. I still have NO IDEA why it wouldn't just work...but it does now, so all's well.
