The last of the three gifts
sketched for me.
The sketch was simply incredible.

My ham fisted method of inking doesn't really lend itself to such highly detailed works as this =S
I got incredibly frustrated whilst doing it...like trying to paint the Mona Lisa with finger paints.
Once the ink work was done I left it for, like, over a week.
However once I started colouring it I found it hard to stop. I got the idea of light dappling her as I inked it and I wasn't entirely sure I could pull it off, but I wanted to try, simply to do something different for once.
Not wholey convincing, but it's better than I expected.
If there's one aspect I think came out really well, it's the sword jewels. First time in a long time I've added bloom to purple highlights and got the colour right so it didn't come up pink.
Anyway, less yammering on from me. Enjoy

I don't know what it is, but there's something about the way you shade black. It looks amazing, it stands out more than any colour to me lol.
Love the little speckles of highluight on her ears too, it's anice touch. The sun beams are placed well soo, kinda makes me feel like she's been in a huge fight in the darkest parts of the forest, and she's getting her first beams of sunlight while leaving the forest 8)

Strange you thought that way, because I felt the complete opposite...that someone happened to stumble upon her whilst training or some such, like the sun rays shine down upon her, lighting her up as the only important feature in the forest.
